The new NSRF 2014 – 2020 of a €20.84 billion total budget (Community assistance), €26 billion (public expenditure), is co-funded by the ERDF, ESF, Cohesion Fund, ERDF and EMFF mechanisms.

The key priorities reinforced by the new NSRF are as outlined:

  • To Strengthen the competitiveness and extroversion of enterprises
  • The development and utilisation of human resources
  • The environmental protection and transition towards an environmentally friendly economy
  • The development, modernisation and upgrading of transportation infrastructure
  • The development, modernisation and completion of accessibility infrastructure and the improvement of institutional capacity and efficiency of Public Administration at Regional and Local Government level.
